Simon Elliott provides supervision for church workers, with the goal:
“I would love to stand beside you as you think through how best to glorify God, in the situation he has put you. “
What is Professional Supervision?
Professional Supervision helps you as a church worker to reflect on your work, helping you to find solutions to the issues you face in your ministry and in life. It allows you to look at the situation you find yourself in from a different perspective. When you think of supervision, rather than overseer think Superhero, one who has super vision, who uses their superpower to help you. It allows you to grow your competence, confidence and resilience.
How does Supervision work
Professional Supervision is about you, there is no agenda or curriculum, it is about helping you with what you are faced with in the ministry God has placed you in. It is good to spend time considering goals of what you would like to achieve from supervision, and is helpful to come to a session with a concept ready to discuss.
Supervision provides a safe and supportive environment and can be done as an individual or with a group.
How is professional supervision facilitated?
We facilitate both individual and group supervision and these can take place:
- face-to-face if you are located in Melbourne or Sydney. (I live in the Yarra Ranges but am frequently in Sydney).
- online using video conferencing (e.g. Zoom, MS Teams),
- by phone,
- or a combination of the above.
We work as flexibly as possible to meet your needs and availability.
How much does professional supervision cost through MPSA?
The costs vary depending on the situation you find yourself, we take into account whether you are working part time or full time, whether you are a Senior Minister or serve in another capacity.
Individual Supervision Fees: from $80 per hour (including GST)
Group Supervision Fees: from $60 per person per session (including GST)
How to book in for supervision?

“Supervision has benefitted me in my ministry as I discuss complex issues with Simon who’s wise counsel and situational distance helps me reflect on my ministry and grow in my own faith and as a leader.”
“Many times in supervision I have come away with clarity on an issue and the next steps I might take as I work through different ministry issues that arise for me…It has been a growing experience for me as a Christian and a leader.”
